Jardin Majorelle entry tickets give access to one of Marrakesh's most visited botanical gardens, originally designed by French painter Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 1930s. The garden is known for its vivid cobalt blue buildings, a colour Majorelle patented as Bleu Majorelle, and its collection of cacti, bamboo groves, and water features set across roughly one hectare. Fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé purchased and restored the property in 1980, saving it from planned demolition.
Visitors walk the garden paths at their own pace, taking in the plant collections and the Art Deco villa that houses the Berber Museum, which holds artefacts related to the indigenous cultures of Marrakesh attractions and the wider Maghreb region. Entry covers garden access and the Berber Museum; the YSL Museum on the adjacent site requires a separate ticket and is not included.
